The news has come through that Dave Brown has successfully flown Brian Halls Christchurch based aircraft. The prospect of a three ship formation beacons in the not too distant future.

Work in the shop continues on a wide array of items for P40, T51, Bearhawk, Spitfire and Mosquito as well as the assembly of  Strikemaster 72

Congratulations to Brian and Kevin in Christchurch. Brian’s ex Saudi Strikemaster yesterday received the tick in the box from NZCAA to allow it to start its test flight program. Test flying will be done by Dave Brown and once he is finished in Christchurch we should have 72 ready for him up here.

There is an outside chance that 72 may make a static only appearance at this weekends D Day open Day.

Strikemaster 72 has arrived and the container has been unpacked. We are just awaiting MAF inspection before moving it all to the hangar. While we wait we listen to the weather forcast that is predicting 120kph winds and hail, sigh.

As it is Craigs birthday today we let him “cut the cake’.

Not the best of days weather wise but we thought it was about time we took a staff photo.

Trevor is enjoying the assembly of the Titan T51 but the lure of a fine afternoon during the week proved too much of a drawcard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCKMceT0hoA  Maybe he should have stayed at work.
