The news has come through that Dave Brown has successfully flown Brian Halls Christchurch based aircraft. The prospect of a three ship formation beacons in the not too distant future. Congratulations to Brian and Kevin in Christchurch. Brian’s ex Saudi Strikemaster yesterday received the tick in the box from NZCAA to allow it to start its test flight program. Strikemaster 72 has arrived and the container has been unpacked. We are just awaiting MAF inspection before moving it all to the hangar. While we wait we listen to the weather forcast that is predicting 120kph winds and hail, sigh. As it is Craigs birthday today we let him “cut the cake’.

Work has started in earnest on the P40E fuselage with a start made on assembling the firewall and fuselage frames, photos to come shortly. Update, pre Easter.

Lots has happened since the last post, Staggerwing is now flying, the Tempest project moves on as does the T51. The Strikemaster has had the control surfaces and fin painted and is going back together in time for Classic Fighters this weekend. Strikemaster 72 starts the journey back home next month.
