This afternoon at Ardmore Jerry Yagens P39 had it’s first, successful engine run it was a joy after so long to see this happen. High powers later in the week and who knows what after that.
Video now uploaded. Sorry about the first attempt for those of you that watched.
Great news and well done!
Well done. You can certainly hear the reduction gearbox gears whirring away or is that something else?
Hi guys, it’s so cool to see another machine all but ready to go. Well done to you all.
Fantastic! Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing!!👏👏👏
Curtiss Electric C6315SH! Spectacular!
Is that whine noise typical? Just curious.
Hi John, big straight cut gears in the reduction gearbox that the engine noise drowns out in the “standard” V1710.
I bet those were hard to bail out of, opening that door against the wind!!
Not at all if you had to bail the door went first.
Beautiful work folks.
Thanks Barf.
well, well congrats guys it sounds absolutely great, I thought that Brooklyn Bum the 2nd was the nicest p-39 restoration on the planet, but I do believe your group has equaled if not surpassed the quality of Jerry`s utterly fantastic plane. I`ll bet Mr. Yagen is beside himself. BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL,BEAUTIFUL….. WHAT A CREW..
