After months of on going health problems and continuing weight loss the difficult decision was made to put the once feisty hangar cat to rest. It seemed strange to walk into the hangar this morning and not get tripped up by one cat demanding food.
He will be missed but we could not stand to see the daily deterioration in his condition.
Thanks to Trevor for taking the unpleasant trip to the vets.
I met a kiwi tabby cat
He has the name of Curtis
He lives amongst the aeroplanes
and sleeps on any surface.
He has an entire hangar and
the people who work in it,
and if you’d like, he’s happy to
be petted for a minute.
At night he prowls the airplane cowls
and hunts efficiently.
His is a life of leisure and
of self-sufficiency.
——
And now it seems that Curtis,
our feline mascot, true
has gone to kitty heaven
and we don’t know what to do.
We didn’t see it coming.
We’ll miss him terribly.
Yet in our thoughts we see him,
always resting comfortably.
