A gloomy day at Ardmore couldn’t dampen the smile on David Lanes face as he taxied around the airfield and then for the first time got to see his aircraft fly. A few final touches, mainly cosmetic and then it is decision time, how long does it stay in New Zealand? and how much flying do I do in it here? and how do I get it to Australia?
Great!
I’ve got a few photos of it from April

looking good Errol.
Errol,
Can you share these photos with me, as the owner of the aircraft?
Wow! Not envious in the least… he lied!
Painted a few Mustangs in my time. Would value your comments – see my gallery page.
Cheers

Great work Graham, my favourite is the drawing of the Connie.
Owner’s wife was inspired to write these words…
David Lane flies his plane
his own T-51
in the air, without a care,
he’s having so much fun!
A World War II true replica,
each detail is complete.
Three-quarter size and customised,
it’s named “Miss Marguerite”.
